The New York Times, like many other news outlets, has a twitter account that they keep up with regularly, often posting links to their articles accompanied by the article titles. They post very often to keep people updated with new and new articles that they had published. As a twitter account they receive a fair number of comments, which look to average about 15-30 per tweet. They also receive a good amount of retweets, but do not appear to be active in communicating with the people who comment on their posts. They do not reply to many comments or other tweets. The Times account does, however, have quite a few likes on journalists posts where the journalists post links to other articles. Overall their account @nytimes is really only used to show people new articles that have been published and to give people a quick link to access their articles. https://twitter.com/nytimes
